ok i have three problems, someone help!

i got home today and my water was lil cloudy, i looked more closely and my feather duster was spitting out some sort of white cloudy stuff, liquid, what is that and is that bad for my tank, its a 55 gal.

secondly, two small chroims died in my tank yesterday and i cant get to them, i see one in the back but theres no way of me getting to it and the other i cant see at all, would it be ok to leave them in there to decay? one of them already has some a big hermit on it chewing away, same for the second i imagine, or will that thow off the balance of my tank and make everything go out of whack, cuz i have some zoo,s and some mushrooms.

lastly, i have a hair algea problem, got the rock with the most problem and scrubbed them down with a brush and the rest of the tank is pretty clean with some small hair growth, i bouth a phosphate pad to put in will this do the trick to make all the otehr small growths disappear?

the tank is 3 months old, all readinds were at 0, phosphate was high whichis whty i bought the pad. can someone help me

What kind of water are you using for your top-off? The phosphate has to be coming from somewhere.I can'thelp you with the feather duster, never had one do that. What do you think killed your chromis? If they are'nt consumed in a day I would pull them out.

I was doing a little cleaning in my tank. I left the room to get some new filter pads, and noticed a stream of white billowing. It looked like a chimmeny smoking, and was coming from one of the little feather dusters that came on my live rock. Anyone out there know what it is? Is it dangerous to the tank life?

IIRC, your feather duster is spawning. Just skim it off.

In regard to your dead fish... I've used a wire coat hangar for years... it works great, you can bend it to fit the job at hand. On one end, I've curled the ends in to a "round bullseye", for lack of a better term. On the other side, I've got a "hook" going... then I just bend the rest to get it to fit and now I poke, prod, or hook anything I want moved... I don't have to get my big fingers-hand-arm-armpit into the water to do stuff now....works great. :)

Wings is right about the feather duster. I watched mine spawn a couple of weeks ago, it seems like they almost took turns one would blow smoke and then the other would. Skimmer took care of it.

I use a turkey baster to blow dead fish, shrimp shells, etc.. from behind my rock. If you can see it you should be able to blast it out into the open.
