I have a 65 gallon reef set-up that I have yet to add fish to. I also have a 75 gallon FOWLR set-up. In quarantine and ready to be released from prison is a tank raised neon pseudochromis (Pseudochromis aldabrensis). In the reef tank I have a cleaner shrimp, a pepermint shrimp, feather duster, an assortment of soft frags and a sand sifting star along with the usual clean-up crew. My question is, would the neon bother the shrimp or the star, or feather duster. My additional fish plans for the reef are for a pair of black clowns, a tang yet to be decided on and perhaps a pigmy angel.
If this guy is not compatible, I will add him to the FOWLR where a green bird wrasse, a criscross butterfly and a maroon clown reside.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. tx Joe

Hi Joe, and welcome to reefs.org!

IME, P. aldabraensis is a bit antagonistic towards shrimp and other crustaceans. If they're larger than him they'll probably be OK, but I'd keep my eye on him. The star and feather duster and any corals should be fine.

My only experience with this dottyback and a pygmy angel was this: 75 gallon reef, Centropyge argi was established, and I added the dottyback afterwards. The angel chased the dotty pretty relentlessly for a few days before finally giving up.
