Has anyone done business with them recently? I placed an order a month ago, sent a couple emails recently and haven't heard back.

Are they still in business?

I placed an order about 6 weeks ago. I spoke to Marianne in the sales department. I haven't tried email.

If you place an order you should NOT have to try and track them down in various ways. If they want your business and you place an order they SHOULD be knocking at your door. Just my .02.....

They are still in business and I just ordered a "Mako" from them. I'm hoping they don't take a month to send it to me. I called after ordering just to confirm that they had everything they needed and they told me it would ship within 48 hours. I think yesterday was 48 hours, we will see...

Just an update on my order with AquaFX. I called yesterday afternoon to find out that my order had not shipped. I was told that it was boxed and ready to ship that day. I was sent a tracking number later that evening, however UPS says ; "UPS has received shipper's billing information electronically. Billing information received does not indicate shipment pickup or drop-off. Please contact the shipper for more details." I tried to track it again today and get the same message (Apr 20, 2004 1:07 P.M. Eastern). I honestly believe that the package has not been sent and they lied to me.
I am quickly losing my patience with this company and at this point would strongly suggest that anyone in the market for a RO system look elsewhere.

That's typicall. UPS says wait 24-48 hours for their shipping codes to hit the system (usally it's less, but that's what they say).

I ship a lot and use their online system. When I print the label I get tracking # and mail to person I am shipping to. Pick up doesn't happen till 4:30 and then it usually doesn't show up in the system till the following AM. (till then you see the message you got).

That doesn't mean they actually sent it though either (they might have packaged, printed lable and it's still sitting on the floor somewhere).

I also use UPS a lot and understand the delay, however they claim it was shipped yesterday and it is now 2:30PM on the east coast and should be in the system by now. I have a feeling that it wasn't shipped. I guess I'm just a little nervous considering fishfarmer's experience

It must be sitting on the floor somewhere, because no one can tell me where it is. AquaFX did call me earlier and said it was sent yesterday but I just got off the phone with UPS and they have no record of having the package (7:47PM EDT).

I have to eat a little crow. My order was shipped and UPS temporary lost it. It's on it's way now and I should have it by Tuesday. I guess I should learn to be a little more patient.

Well, I received my AquaFX MAKO today. I didn't get the in-line TDS meter I didn't get the auto shut off valve, and I didn't get the Self Piercing Saddle, all of which were included in the MAKO package. What I did get is useless to me until I have all the parts that will allow me to install this thing properly. BTW I found out from UPS that they did indeed ship it a day later then then said they did. I recommend avoiding this company.

I dunno man.. They can be a little disorganized a times, but overall they've been great to me. The product works well ( baracuda ). Every time I get them on the phone, the person i talk to knows the products inside and out.
Just a few months ago, my rejection rate looked a bit high and they sent me a new 100gpd membrane no questions asked. They also sent me new rubber washers free of charge, and sold me a TDS meter for a reduced cost. I bought mine from a reseller. Not direct.

Just thought people should get the other side of the coin

Well, I sent an email and they called me back (9PM their time), which impressed me. The Auto shut off valve was apparently not included so that's my bad. The TDS meter is MIA and they are going to 2nd day air me one.

We get 3 to 4 hundred a day. A normal filter really doesn’t work well for us, because of the way we receive email.

If anyone got a spam filter that will not knock out "good" emails, let us know. I know some of the important ones get missed.
