Well my Red sea prizim pro delux is not cutting it. I bought this before I found this site and how crappy they are.
I hope to spend close to 300$ on a new skimmer. So what would you guys recomend for a 210g. I am thinking the ETSS REEF DEVIL or a ASM G-3.
I found the G-3 for 276.00$
The reef devil for about the same price.
Which would you guys recomend.
And no I cant afford a Euro reef.

Euro-... oh.. what about going the MACO route? Ask louey about how his skimmer came out, material cost, etc. IIRC it came out really cherry.

Thanks for the plug Marina. The maco skimmers are terrific and you could build a killer skimmer for under $300 if you already own a router table and router. A router and table can be bought at HD or Lowes for $89. I highly recommed this if you are into DIY. The skimmer I made for my tank would easliy retail for $500 or higher. The skimmer design also allows for you to add on to it if you ever needed to.

If you are not into DIY, I would suggest you look into a Lifereef or Euroreef. Both are very high end and you wont be disappointed. I am not sure if $300 will get either of those though.

Does anyone know about ASM skimmers?
I will probably go the reefdevil route though.
I have thought about the maco route but I dont think I have the skill for that kind of work yet.

I am using a ASM G-4 and I have no complaints. It is basically identical to a euroreef except it costs less. I can't give you a true comparison between the two because I've never owned a uroreef.[/i]

I'm pretty happy with my Aqua-medic T5000 Baby :http://www.aqua-medic.de/index0.html
They're pricey up here in Canada, not sure what they would sell for down in the States.

It's been running for 4 years now without a single problem, and no adjustments are needed.
My system is about 400 gallons. (204g tank + 180g sump)
