Is there anything bad about feeding corals everyday. I know this is not necessary, but everyday im feeding my fish brine shrimp, and cant resist getting the turkey baster and blasting my corals with food while im at it. Besides being a waste of time, is there any other downsides to feeding everyday? Ive heard that on reefs, corals are fed plenty all the time, so it just seems right to feed everyday...any opinions?

I see nothing wrong with it. The only downside is that you might overfeed and your tank filtration can't keep up. If you've got a good skimmer and maybe a refugium, you should be sitting pretty. :)

Absolutely not, as long as you're feeding them the right food. I just read a book by Dr. Ron Shimek which said a 100 gallon reef tank would have to be fed ONE POUND of food DAILY to approximate the amount of food available on a natural reef....

What kind of corals do you have, and what are you feeding them? As far as fish go, ADULT brine shrimp are about as nutritious as popcorn....the fish may seem to love them but they're nearly worthless.

Matt,
Yea ive tried to ween them to mysis, but they just love the brine a whole lot more. I think the hikari mysis im using is too big for my clowns, cause they spit it back out many times before they digest it. As for corals, my tank is jammed with mostly various sarcophytons, nepthias, zoo's, LPS's, Acroporas. Its got a variety of everything. Im feeding the corals same thing as the fish. I might try adding a little Dt's to the food to make it more nurishing for the corals...
