HI,
Well I trimmed my puffer's teeth thinking he got lockjaw because his teeth had overgrown. But he's still not eating. He'll go for stuff but not really with the same voracioius apetite. He will just jab at it and totally not go in far anough neither will he open his mouth. Which he can. I mean when I first got him I tried everything to get him to eat. And all he would eat was krill and brine shrimp. So pretty much his only stable food for the last couple months has been krill. But lon sat. he just stopped really going for them. SO I thought that maybe his jaw had gotten to big. But now that his jaws all trimmed he's not going for the food. COuld he have lost interest that quickly. I would think that it owuld be atleast a bit more suddle. Now what am I to do. I have no clue what he wants to eat! Can somebody help me with this. The only thing my LFS could suggest was hermit crabs, but that's going to get really expensive really quick.

Enzo,

I posted a response on 9/15 on your other puffer thread. Were the porcupine puffers' teeth really overgrown? How did you trim & how much?
What did you use to for anesthesia? Are his gums irritated since the trimming? Did his teeth stay intact or were there any cracks? Have you tried any of my suggestions?
