putting in 4 110w vho bulbs over a 55g this weekend
with the coralife electronic ballast
what would be the ideal combination of bulbs?
would this be sufficient light for sps?
I agree with mountainbiker. I'd got either 2 URI super actinics and 2 daylights, or 3 daylights and 1 actinic. And yes, over a 55 gallon, this is sufficent light for most SPS corals. Just remember to replace them on a regular basis, between 8-12 months. I would caution about replacing them all out once since this has bleached corals in my tanks before. Stagger the schedule.
