I was just wondering how many tanks people try to keep up with? I always have had a freshwater tank on and off for as long as I can remember, but when I got my first saltwater I'm always looking for an excuse to get another tank. Right now I have a 55 gal and 40 gal reef, a 29 gal with live rock and a few shrooms, in the process of setting up a 135 gal FOWLR, and a 5 gal freshwater. I joke to people they can come over and see my tanks @ $5 per person.

Our friends love our place it soothes their souls surrounded by the sights and sounds of water.

I have five tanks total :

2-1/2 gallon reef (lookin' pretty crappy right now)
3-foot 50 gallon (titan trigger is in there by himself)
4-foot 75 gallon (main reef, running 4 years)
5-foot 110 gallon (soon-to-be main reef when I move in 2 months)
6-foot 180 gallon (empty, new, waiting for the move, future contents unknown)

Peace,

Chip

Only one and it is plenty for now.

I may have a second, smaller one at some point in the future. I would like to have a species tank with horses or jawfish, or even a planted FW tank.

I have a 75G reef

I have a 37G FOWLR that I am currently upgrading the lighting and add a dsb so that I can keeps some shrooms, recordias, and some softies.

I have a 20G QT that sits empty until needed. It has been empty for over a year.

I am in the process of building a 300G built-in reef tank. The contents of my 75 will go in the 300. The 75 will then be the refugium of the 300. This ought to keep me busy for a while :) .

well my only full functioning and stocked tank is my 55 gal which has 2 10 gal tanks as sump and refugium. I have a 90 gal (4ft) that is cycling that has LR/LS wet/dry sump and 10 gal refuge. My 125 (6 ft) has become the
home to my wife's lizard and my 30 tall has a leak that wont stop so its in the attic now. I also have a 20 gal long tank that will probabaly become a refuge soon. Its amazing how much crap you accumulate after several years in the hobby, i just gave away a 55gal with lights and stand to friend cuz i have to much stuff hehe.

One 65G FOWLR
One 10 Gallon QT tank that doubles as a mixing/heating/aging container for my water changes.
Planning a 125 Gallon Reef in a year or so and Ill probably get a 20 Gallon 2nd Quarantine/mixing tank then also.

Two at the moment,

55 gal reef
120 gal FOWLR that I maintain for someone.

I would like to consolidate the SW into one tank and run a freshwater or an African Cichlid tank at some point.

I have 3 tanks. My main tank is a 46 gallon bow front. It is a reef setup. I have an 18 gallon tall planted freshwater. About two months ago somebody gave me a 30 long complete with coral and fish. That tank is a mess. I dont have time to clean it cause I work two jobs. All this is in a one bedroom house. 8O
