Whats up all, for the last 2 years I have been buying my water at the LFS. Im tired of going to get water and now I have the room to setup a RODI unit. Can you please tell me your opinions? I was looking at the Maxima 50 GPD.Any other recommendations would be awesome as I do not know to much about these units. Thank you all

i asked this same question a while back. a lot of the responses to the post said that all ro/di units are pretty much the same. i dont know too much about ro/di units either, but i too am looking at buying the same maxxima unit.

One brand name to consider.....Spectrapure......I've had one for over 10 years now and never a problem with it. ...replace cartridges and membrane as needed and they'll last forever, mon 8)

Peace,
Kevin

I am not a big fan of brand name, but instead I will go for the most knowledgeable and best service. Spectrapure is the main one I deal with, and I have nothing but good thing to say about there tech and servicepersons. I am sure there are other good companies.

The main goal of a RO/DI is to produce water with TDS = 0 ppm.

The brand name is secondary for me. The price comes first.

I have one of these and a lot of people have it too.

It produces 0 TDS water like the spectrapure, the kent.... but cheaper.
