They're getting close to being done. IIRC, MattM or MickAv8r have posted some tentative info about their store to the Inland Reef/Reefs.org Salt Project thread at the top of this forum.

We had the final building inspection today. Unfortunately, they found several nit-pick type things they didn't like (none of which were mentioned during the rough inspection a month ago!). So we do not yet have a certificate of occupany, and thus can not open to the public yet.

We have a meeting with a contractor on Monday, and then have to schedule a visit from the fire marshall, and then we'll know how much more work has to be done before we can re-open.

Trust me, no one is more impatient about this and sick of waiting than we are!

I can't wait to see the new store guys! I got out of reef keeping 2 years ago when my wife and I had our first child. I just recently decided to fire up the old reef and needed the usual equipment so I took a trip to Main St. Nashua to visit the finest of reef suppliers "Inland Reef". To my utmost disappointment the doors were closed. I have been a traitor for the past few months and have been patronizing a facility is Salem NH but I look forward to the wealth of experience and knowledge the staff at Inland Reef will surely provide once the doors open!

Good luck guys!

ouch it's sad when you have to hit that dump in salem. when i had to break down my 75 and get something smaller i kept everyone in rubbermaid tubs for a month before i was able to have tom drill me a 26. i REFUSE to give any money to seaworld, that is one of the most wreched stores i have ever been in. great freshwater stuff but they have no morals at all when it comes to who they sell what. once was there getting some tetras for my ex's freshwater tank and they were selling a guy a 30 gallon with a canister filter and told him there was no reason why he couldn't get a purple tang for it the same day. "no you don't need to wait, with mechanical filtration you can add fish right away. " i was shocked and disgusted. ok even putting aside terrible setup advice, a tang in a 30? i havn't set foot in there again since. what is terrible is that people who don't know any better will listen to these fools and retards who only care about getting your money, get stuck with horrible tanks that kill off everything they buy, get frustraided and leave the hobby. Inland has earned my buisness for life just by being honest and trying to educate their customers. repeat after me- seaworld bad inland good

I'm not going to try to defend those guys in Salem. I agree that they may not be as ethically responsible as they should. But they do have a nice selection of stuff and I have been pretty satisfied with the quality of the livestock. I would much rather shop at IR than Seaworld, and I am really looking forward to it's opening.
Matt/Tom, can you guys give us an idea of how much bigger this store will be? Also, are you planning on a larger livestock?

The old store was 1500 sq feet total. The new store has a total square footage of 4,250. However, 1650 of that is storage space and an additional 400 or so is another store (http://www.astronomydaily.com). So there is a vast increase in storage space and enough left for a a 25% increase in dry goods space and a substantial increase in livestock space.

We'll be going from about 1380 gallons to just under 3,200 gallons. And we'll be adding a high-end freshwater section (Dutch style planted tanks).

thanks for asking. the 26 is coming along very well. it did leak some where it was chipped, but i siliconed the ever living crap out of it and it's held fine so far. overflow works very well and relativly quiet. i am waiting for the digital camera i got on ebay to get here then i will try to post pics. only real problem right now is that the water is getting slick on the surface. As soon as i can i want to get a remora and the preskimmer box for it. i figure that should solve that problem. I ended up hacking some of the wood out of the stand and got a 10 to fit for the sump/fuge. I think it came out well. BTW do you know anyone who might want your old 75?

On the front page, below the moving notice, in a box with a thick blue border where it says "You can check the current status here!"

Sorry if it's confusing for you! :D

We'll have the used boards back up in the new store - but I think the best place to list it would be in the Boston Reefer's Forum on RC. Stuff seems to go fast there.

Matt - I can blame it on I.E. When I brought up the main page it loaded a cached copy. The text in the box still had the construction progress link. 8)

I've noticed that issue as well - not on any browsers I use but numerous messages have been left on our machine at the shop from people inquiring because "the website still says opening in early june" which obviously it hasn't said since well early june lol. Gotta use that refresh button folks. Or set your browser to load new pages and not cached ones.
