I forgot to say it also, nice job.

It is a very satisfying feeling to build something like this yourself.

Nice and clean. How much does it weigh with all those ballasts mounted to the rear? My old dual 175 MH hood with ballasts mounted on the back weighed a lot.

Just wondering, how far above the water are the halides?
About 8.5".

Surprisingly it's still pretty light. Those IceCap ballasts don't weigh much.

Well, finally got around to setting the tank up today. So far, I think it looks pretty good. What do you think?

You set all that up in two days! The corals look like they've been in there a long time. Did you move everything from another aquarium?

BTW, very nice job on the stand and canopy. I use the same IceCap ballasts (both the VHO and 250's) and they've worked very well for me.

I thought something was fishy when I saw coralline algae growth beneath the sand line, but I didn't want to come out and call you a liar :)
