Well I just sent back the Visi-jet PS100 because I thought it was crap. Anyways, I was thinking about a SeaClone or a prizm hang on protein skimmer? Any comments on these skimmers or any other suggestions would be great.

My tank

28 bow front glass tank
emperor 280
dual 55 watt PCF

The stand, LR, and LSB are coming in april when I can setup the saltwater tank right. More so when the money comes in and my birthday.

I have a visijet!!! And Oh My God they suck. Well I did do some major modofying, and now it is produsing dry foam and nice brownish blackish skimmate. But I am still waiting on getting my CPR backpack. Aqua C remoras are excellent for a 28 gallon, so are CPR backpaks. Seaclones blow. Prism's have mixed reviews but gennarally blow next to a remora or a cpr. Precision marine's are pretty good but I don't know about using them on a 28, it might be to much. Your best guess is with a Aqua C or a bakpack. They are suppose to kick ass on smaller tanks. Don't get the seaclone!! AGAIN I state. hope this helped.

the aquaC remora or the CPR Bak-Pak.

I have owned them both and they are great skimmers. I would lean toward the remora.....

What websites do you guys recommend for buying online? Big Als doesn't have either, any ideas? Also, I read a review that said I could put my submerable heater inside of the backpack or the remora...any truth in this?

Done. Its 9:26pm in california and I just ordered a remora with the maxi-jet 1200 upgrade. Thanks guys! My fiance better not find out how much I spent, if she does she'll kick my a$$! I told her I was going to order a SeaClone before I spoke to all of you tonight. About $100 more than I orignally thought I was going to spend. Shhhh! Don't say a word. Is it bad I spent more on stuff for my tank this last 3 weeks than I did on her for Valintines day????

almost all use Rio powerheads so there really isn't much difference in the $100 or so skimmer. i've owned quite a few and i still like the SR2 sump skimmer by CPR. Biopack is the same but hangon.

Just to clarify, The Prism Pro does quite nicely, its the standard version that blows. The Pro would be overkill for your tank as its rated for a 300Gallon tank (meaning you could probably get away with using it on a 125G max).

I have the Prism and I like it..........My wife complains about the "Noise" but it really is not bad at all. I have often turned it way down during the day and then turned it slightly more up at night to shut her up. This skimmer works great, easy to clean, easy to adjust flow rate, and very inexpensive. I have seen Seaclones being used in a few LFS's and they work just fine too! I really think that many people do not know how to use a skimmer and expect a skimmer to pull crap out that is not even there. Just my opinion from hands on experience and lots of research. :D
