anemone and hermit crab quastion

Can i have anemone in my monoculture sump tank where i'm having some sea weed in there now?
Will hermit crab eat away my hair algae problem and how long can they last before they will have to change new shell again? :?:

You can keep an anemone if you'd like so long as the water's parameters are fine. Most algal culture tanks are very nutrient rich.

Hermits are usually sold as mature adults and rarely have to change shells (for example, scarlet hermits and blue-legged varieties). Smaller specimens may have to change sells at every molt, and this rate varies.

My experience with hermit is that once they are done with the algea, they will kill off each other since there is not other food.. .
