If you have indeed, then you need to control your urge.

Hey have you read those two Volumes of keepin Inverts? They are about 60 bucks a piece and I was thinkin of orderin them. I would like some feedback about these books. Oh yeh! I know thats why I am set6tin up a much larger tank so I can place a few Rays in it with lots of Nurse Sharks. Do ya think 85 gallons is enough? I love a challenge. Know what I mean?

Well.actually I found a "Nurse" for 200 canadien dollars a few years ago in Windsor Ontario. I decided to skip the 100 gallon for now so I can go "swim" with my Nurse. LOL She is 6'2" in heels and lots of fun! Ok I picked up 2.5 pounds of liverock(filter) and added it to my tank tonight. That second skimmer I attached is drawin green skimmate now.

Ok.....a little update........My Ammonia is at 1.0 now and I discovered a microbe about 1/1000 of an inch that was gaspin for air at the top of my tank. I added 2.5 pounds of cultured liverock tonight. I wll report in the am if Korea and Iraq have not killed us.

Bangbang, what are you doing????
You need to stabilize your tank.
Do NOT add any rock or sand. Chances are you'll do more bad than good in the short run. Let nature run it's course... it has a tendency to work things out better than you can. There is currently a very large bio-load in your tank.... lots of stuff dying that is not being readilly removed by your nitrosomonas and nitrobacter. Keep your skimmers running, and remove as much dead organisms and detritus as possible (sipher it out).
Also, do a water change... it should help.

LOL.........just added another pound of Cultured Liverock from my LFS reef tank. Ammonia level dropped to .25 and Nitrates have dropped to 0 since last night. The Liverock that I added is cured and came from tanks with fish and corals. They will help with the larger Bioload. I added a Seaclone(new improved version) that is pullin out plenty of geen skimmate now. It is rated for 150 gallons and the prizm is rated for 90 gallons. My animals are showing no stress today and my mushrooms opened up very nicely today. My Coral Banded shrimp is busy looking for food. The Star looks just fine and is a bit more active today. All the fish are eating. I have been just feeding enough each day to check their appetite till the crisis is over. I just oicked up Rons Deep Sand Bed Book. More of a pamplet. Very interesting. I just picked up an Aquaclear 500 powerfilter for my New Fish Only and pick up my substrate later. Then I just need to get my tank and stand. I am going to use a very hardy fish to cycle my tank. I used Damsels last time. Worked great. What would you use? I know I am goin to catch some heat from people on this. Have Fun!

OK, well glad things are working out for you. It's unfortunate (but normal) to rush in and overstock your tank.
Curing live rock will cycle your tank. Just make sure the fish you choose go from hardiest to least hardy... and most importantly, take your time making the additions. Wait a few weeks between each fish to allow the bacteria to stabilize. Otherwise you are just wasting your $$.

LMAO...............no problem but Super Genuis is way beyond me. LOL The guy that refuses to read this thread and some others is the one that kind of bugs me. However I have left myself open for those kind of replies do to my wild crazy ways.........especailly at RC. A little update......just checked my water.......Ammonia 0 Nitrates 0 Nitrites 0 PH 8.2 All my animals are alive and well. I even found one of my Peppermints last night. I have observed that my Percula is much more active today. I plan on adding another couple pounds of cured and cultured live rock to boos the biological filter capacity till I can get my other tank ready. Just have to get the tank and stand now. My wife is goin to give me some crap about it. LOL I am puttin it in my private room. I am really havin fun with this.
