Dude was moving aroung for a while. Looking pretty happy. Eating pretty good. He's moved in the rocks. Been some time now. Can't see heads of tails of him. Will I see him again?
it does need light so i would think you would see it again. if it died i think you would have noticed a fouling of your water, given you don't have a monster sized tank.
I had an LTA that was in the rocks for 2 weeks. I finally moved the rocks and pulled him out. He had shrunk up to near nothing. I put it in a small jar out front and it started growing again. It was about 1-1/2" across. Took several months to get 8" across again, now a year later it is 18" across. Don't wait too long
its been over two weeks I think......I guess I can rip the dang thing apart and get that pesky clownfish out at the same time.
I have a 125 gallon with a 40 gallon sump. Not a monster, but not a petite. I haven't noticed anyreal fouling. Although, I did the temperature probe for the heater falling out of the tank and the tank gets above 90 degrees thing a couple of weeks ago. That produced a slight bump in system, but nothing like a dying anenome would produce....
I thought I had lost one of my BTAs also; it had split and both had moved around a bit --then I couldn't find one. After a couple of nervous days, I looked in the back at an angle and there it was! getting plenty of movement and light but in the rocks and facing a direction I couldn't see.
OK..lets supopose it did die? Could 5 pepermint shrimp, 1 skunk cleaner shrimp, 1 fire shrimp, 3 baby conchs, and some other snails have polished it off before it nuked my tank??? Th thing was a good 10 inches when it was inflated....
