Anyone ever have Aragamilk precipitate out and form a semi-solid at the bottom of the bottle. I had this happen to the bottle I was about 2/3 finished with. Can you just add water and redissolve and use it or would the concentration and makeup be altered? I tried adding water and shaking but it appears to be very difficult to get back into solution totally. What comes out now is a thick slurry, which does not dissolve readily in the tank. Wondering if anyone has seen this and if I can still use it or need to buy a new bottle.

hmm. just out of curiosity, how do you store it? is it possible that you could have left it open or exposed it to air causing it to dry out? also, do you remember to shake it real well each time you use it? if not, that could have something to do with it - though it's only a guess on my part.

i use aragamilk but have never had this happen to me before.

You can just add RO water to it and shake it like mad, if fact, bring it to home depot and put it in their paint mixer cause it's gonna need a lot of work! Its still good to go, though.

hi.
It is just fine aragonite particles in water. There is not much you can do to it to make it any worse. You should be glad that you have one of the more concentrated bottle, instead of what others got for the same money.

I always shook it up vigorously before adding it and made sure the spout was closed after using it. The bottle was stored at room temp in a cabinet, so I'm not sure why it settled out. My question remains though, how can I be sure what the concentration is if I add water to resuspend it? They say you cannot overdose it, but I also dont want it settling out in my tank. Any thoughts?

hi.
There is no worry about the concentration because the product is not a real "solution." It is just calcium carbonate, and like when you add sand to your tank, no body is going to worry about adding so much sand that the calcium is going to be too high. Can one overdose with sand? That's why they said cannot overdose on the bottle.

NO matter how much more water you add to the bottle how many times, the stuff in it just aren't dissolving enough to replenish what your tank needs anyway. You might aswell just buy southdown and put them in a bottle and add water to it from time to time.

Get the real stuff, get a kalkwasser reactor.

Since this thread and one on Kent Liquid Reactor are going on at the same time, I'm posting this to both.

Check our initial tests on Liquid Reactor here. The two products are identical so the same results should apply to both.
