I just purchased B-Ionic from marine depot under the impression that this will raise my calcium and keep it stable.

i just read in another post that this b-ionic is only used to maintain calcium levels (similar to kalk).

ok... so how do i raise my calcium to 400? (which i assume is the optimal calcium level)

if i am going to use ESV's B-Ionic to maintain calcium levels what specific product should i get to raise my calcium levels?

Thanks

This is for my 10 gallon Nano btw.

Oh, it depends on the calcium draw you have in your tank. If you have a tank packed with hard corals, B-ionic is not going to raise your calcium. I had used it exclusively on a 55 gallon that was mostly softies with two LPS corals, and it raised my calcium to acceptable levels and kept them there.

I think in a 10 gallon nano it will do the job just fine,

hi.
Ditto. And don't be too concern with numbers and "optimal" parameters. Reef is suppose to be a fun hobby.

You can raise ca level to 400+ using some cacl then maintain it with the bionic. It's worked well for me on my 120. Always keep tabs on the KH!
