I just bought some kent superbuffer because none of the stores had the seachem reef builder that I normally use. I'm kind of pissed because the seachem will give you approximations on how much a dose will raise your alk, whereas kent only says add 1 tsp / 20-30 gallons /day until alk is where you want it.

What kind of crap is that! Judging by my experience with other Kent products I assume that Kent will err on the side of the beginner and the dose they recommend won't raise alk much at all.

So, anyone out there know what their recommended dosage will do?

thanks,

Plato

How big is your tank?
In my 55 the 1 tsp of Kent brings up the alk 1 dKH.
