I have a 4 week old 90 gallon reef tank with a 4in DSB. I want to add some fish, please help me pick some out. I have a few ideas of what i want, but nothing real great. Anyone that has any suggestions on what i should put in there, let me know. I want it to look like a real natural reef with mostly smaller fish, few schools of fish. Then i would also like a tang. probably yellow and regal, or possibly just a white cheek. Give me some ideas please!

If you have a 4week old Tank.
Don't go overboard.
Just maybe one a week or 2 for starters.

For as Angels.

Wait a while on them.
Water quality is a MUST.
That way, your sure the tank isn't gonna get outta wack.

Just adding one fish may raise your ammonia level a tad but will come down quickly if the tank is completly cycled.

I'd only maybe add a pair of clowns or something like that.

All good points Jeff...

IMO any LFS that doesn't sell ORA fish (or other tank-raised) should be asked to to. The more people demand it, the more they will carry them. If they refuse: Take your dollars elsewhere! IMO there is simply no good reason to buy a wild-caight clownfish with what we know today. Certified clown pairs are also available from ORA. You can contact ORA and they will tell direct you to the closest retailer. HTH

Don't forget ORA has seahorses, clams, and Acro's too.

Was my list perfect?
I don't see any other suggestions.

I agree with the point that was made by Jeff. Start off with 1 or at most a pair of fish. I personally also like:

Banggais (TANK RAISED!!!)
Flame Hawk
Yellow Tang
Coral Beauty (may or may not nip at corals)
Firefish

I'm currently planning a 90g as well. I've been doing some research and I am definately going to go with a Fairy Wrasse of some sort. But, I don't know if these will do well with a dottyback or not. I'm not familiar enough to know if Dottybacks are as aggressive as Psuedochromis. But, Psuedos and Fairy Wrasses are a no-no.

Do a search on "Fairy Wrasses" on this board and here are a few links from different sites.

Green Chromes are a non aggressive damsel that is good for a newer tank. Damsels are much hardier then tangs. Open water swimmers (don't hide behind rocks). 5 or more in a tank and they tend to school nicely. Yellow and purple tangs also are nice schooling fish but you need 7 or more at once and you need an 240 or bigger tank. Ah, maybe some day...

No, dottybacks aren't as aggresive as Psuedochromis.
I would think that a fairy wrasse can go with them also.
My dottyback hangs out in a hole the rock all day.
A wrasse would be a free swimmer, and burrow at night.
