I'm having a custom sump/refugium built to fit in the stand under my 120. The quote for the work is quite a bit higher than I was expecting and I wanted to see if others here concurred. Basically, it will be two acrylic tanks about 19" x 21" and about 16 inches deep. The refugium water will flow through a bulkhead into the sump near the return pumps. The sump is pretty simple. A few baffles, but otherwise there is just space for a euroreef 8-1, a calcium reactor, two return pumps, and other miscellaneous junk. The price quoted was 299 for the refugium, 399 for the sump and 149 for a manifold to distribute water that flows down from the tank. This is about twice as much as I was expecting. Am I right or does the "custom" factor really add that much?

yea, dont even think about spending anywhere near that. You can easily build your own like will said for under 100 dollars.

I was in the same place as you on this. I was looking for a sump/refug. for my 300. Found a arcylic 55 went to home depot for the baffles, and contacted arcyliman for some weld-on 16. A few bulk heads for my pumps and I was done. Glass is cheaper but I didn't have the tools for drilling. I rather send the money on live stock. Total cost for me was around $140. Best of luck...
