Good deal on 100 GPD RO/DI Unit?

I have a Kent Marine 35gpd Hi-S RO Unit right now and need to upgrade to keep up with my new 190g tank. (35gpd takes forever to do a decent water change and top off!)

I've heard nothing but good things about them. Personally, I bought a unit off of Ebay from theh2oguru (that's his user name). He's always got fixed price auctions going. I got a 5 stage 100 GPD unit (called the Typhoon) for $150 and it's great quality! You can upgrade the units when you buy them have TDS meters, pressure meters..etc. Comes out of the box ready to go (even includes a saddle valve to hook up to your water supply).

Wow, the TYPHOON on ebay even has an automatic shut off valve...Sounds intriguing. That guy has 701 positive reviews and 0 negative! Wow!

Yep...He's got to be doing a darn good job of rattling the cages of some of the other RO unit producers. I'm sorry, but you just cannot beat that price. He's got a $189 unit that includes pressure monitor and a TDS meter plus the auto shut-off. I paid $50 alone to Kent for their shut-off (which has failed after 2 years now). I've always believed that the RO unit was one of the most ridiculously overpriced items that Kent/Spectapure (or anyone else) put out. Everything is standard fittings that you could build yourself, if you could locate it and had the time/wherewithall to do it. It was just a matter of time before someone jumped in a created a low cost/quality product by getting all the pieces together. Thanks to both airandwaterice and theh2oguru.

I have asked quite a few different people about this company and they all come up positive. I even called and talked to Walter the H2O Guru. He was EXTREMELY helpful. So helpful that I ordered the Typhoon III and it is on it's way!

We ordered a system from Walter almost a year ago. I would recommend you buy the 6 pack of extra filters when you order a system. The extra filters fit in the same box and you don't take on another shipping charge.

Walter has been very helpful to a lot of people.

I also have the Typhoon that I bought off of Ebay. I have had it up and running for about 4 months now. I cant say how great it is or not, because it is the first RO/Di that I have owned. But I do know this, it makes water, and good water. And you can not beat that price.

I am VERY pleased with mine and only paid $150 for mine.

Ya looka round on other fish resalers and you CANNOT come close to this deal. Maybe for a 35 GPD unit...but no where on a 100GPD one.
