Right now I have 2 RIO 600's in my 75 gallon tall tank.

But it still seems as though the water is not flowing correctly. I am not sure WHERE I should locate the PH's (cant go to low because of the damn cords length)

So I am thinking of adding a wave maker and keeping the 2 PH's in there.

But I dunno if too much current is bad.

no , not to much ,try placing the ph on left and right rear ,aim them to the middle just of center of front glass this way you displace current and bounce it of the glass.

If you are going to use a wavemaker i would recommend you get rid of the rio's. Get some maxijets and you will have some nice current in your tank.

Rio's have a tendency to stop fuctioning if turned off. That could lead to a meltdown that can crash your tank. Just a suggestion. HTH

hi.
Again, no, but make sure you are not pointing the PH directly at a coral. You can "strip" the coral if you do that.

What pperez said. The RIOs won't work for long on a wavemaker. The start/stop will make them fail eventually. Rio says "they do not make their pumps to be run on a wavemaker." The maxi-jet has less power but is a much better pump. I have run maxis for 3 years with zero problems. I doubled up on the maxis by teeing them into a Y ... 2 pumps in 1 output and plugging them into 1 output of the wavemaker by using an extension cord so they both turn on at the same time then they go off and 2 more kick in.

I saw some on Dr.foster web site thing

Hard to believe this wasn't pointed out.
Two RIO 600's is WAY underpowered for a 75 gallon tank.
You should shoot for 10 - 20 TIMES the volume of your tank.
If you are not going to have a sump or closed loop system you need at least 3 maxi jet 1200's in there.

I have a 55 and I run 2 maxijet 1200(295gph), 1 Aquaclear(400gph), a Berlin turbo skimmer(my guess at least 200-300gph) and a HOT refugium(approx.200gph). Two rios on a 75 are very inadequate.
