I did my first ever injection of concentated Kalk into aptasia and similar growth. I now have rocks covered with Kalk paste. Do I leave it be or blow it off.. HOPE THIS WORKS . Thanks for your input

Hey there, I just zapped one today too. Only I use hot water, much cheaper. When we first set up our tank there were a few on the LR. Zapped em with hot water and haven't had one since. We just got a toadstool leather and it had one attached to the rock. Sorry don't know about the kalk. :)

osama,

I tried this technique for the first time the other night. For me, the calcium deposit did reduce to a very minimal level after a few days. Almost unnoticeable! Note, I only had two relatively new anemones to eradicate and this was in new tank that only has new saltwater and live rock in it. Don't know if that has any bearing on how fast the white deposits disappeared or not. I was pleased with the apparent effectiveness of this technique. I guess time will tell.

Take care,
Hal

Well after blasting mine with hot water, there is no signs of the aptasia now. Either way will work. Just my .02.
