Forget about keeping a condy with a mandarin. I want to know who tasted their mandarin! Did you eat the whole thing or did you just lick it?

If your planning on eating one I would suggest soaking it in vineger first or just swallowing it whole. Hope you can keep it down through, because lions, groupers, things of that nature can't.

most hobbyists should not attempt to keep host anemones anyway because there survival rate for three years is less than 5%.

where'd this info come from,terry b?

Podman,
I honestly can't remember exactly where I got it from, but I can tell you that the statistics where gathered by someone well known in the hobby. It may have been Carol Bowman but I am not sure anymore (have you read her book). Perhaps someone else will be familar with it.

I've read it too, and even participated in the poll. I believe it might have even been Joyce Wilkerson... I may be wrong. The statistics were drawn from a large number of participants. I thought the results were well-known. Maybe this was last year. It still holds true.

There are always exceptions to every rule. This is expecially true with Entamacea Quadricolor.

Terry, maybe you'll want to include a part about host anemones for mandarinfish in your next article ;)

(A few years back) I had 2 mandarins and 2 anemones (as well as live rock and other fish) in the same 55 gallon tank for a while and the anemones never ate any of the fish.
