I was just at my friendly neighborhood grocery store to pick up a couple jugs of the R/O water I use for my nano. When I went to get the brand I have been using (Crystal Springs) I noticed that it had been replaced with a new product....."Calcium" water....it was basically the same R/O water with some calcium added. Has anyone see/used this product yet? Is it even reef safe? I tried to find some info on the web, but only found this press release....

Yeah, I don't know the answer to this one and most likely, you will have to run tests your self to determin how much CA, alk, and other chemicals are present in those water.

I've also seen flouride enriched drinking water too.

hi.
Using the calcium water, even if it is safe, is not sufficient to fulfill the dietary requirement of a tank with one hard coral if you are using it as top offs. Try to use prickle lime/kalk with RO/DI, dose calcium additives, or calcium reactor if you have any significant amount of "hard" algea and hard corals.

It all depends on what type of calcium has been added and if it has any buffer capacity. If it's just calcium then it will throw off your ca/alk balance. Test away!
