Hello all,

Well, my first shipment of Tampa Bay Saltwater 55 lbs of LR and 55 lbs of LS has finally come. I also have a few peices of Figi base rock in there also. It has been up for a few days now and most of the debris has come of the rocks and the water is much clearer now. So, here are the pics.

How much did you pay for that? Was it shipped, if so how did they send it? (pkg, etc..)

Looks good..

Thanks!

Nice pics, thanks for sharing! I particularly like the last few that show the little clear tunicates. The third pic from the bottom showing the oyster looks like some type of soft coral almost like anthelia growing to the left of it.

Rich,

It was a package deal for $580. The package is split up into two shipments. The first shipment was half the LR (55 lbs) and 55 lbs of LS. The second shipment is the other half of LR and the cleanup crew (110 Blue leg hermits, 28 Turbo Snails, 4 Tiger tail cukes, 2 brittle/serpant stars, and 4 pistol shrimp; which I am going to substitue with 4 cleaners).

They shipped the LR in 3 thick plastic bags sitting in a styrofoam box in side a shipping box that was tightly taped up. The same for the LS. There were no leaks when I received them at the airport. Both the LR and LS was split up into two seprtate boxes totalling 4 boxes. The shipping cost for the first round was around $80 dollars through Delta Air Cargo. Plus I paid COD and had to pay a $20 fee for that. Still pretty cheap as far as shipping goes.

That's exactly what I thought. I was hoping someone would pick up on that and tell me what it was. If you look closely on the 8th photo down on lower right side of the huge peice of rock there's brain coral! :D

There are also many colonies of dwarf cup coral.

My buddy got the same deal, I think they send the BETTER rock in the second shipment. He got several porcelain crabs hitchhike on his rock as well as about a dozen urchins, which help really well with the initial algae blooms, but grow really fast.

Your LS looks better than I what I got from them, mine had many shell pieces, but the rock was extremely packed with life. Most of the barnacles didn't survive long term, but the one clam I got is still there. I will say watch for hitch hickers. I pulled 2 mantis out of the 25 lbs I got as well as several unsavory crabs and a few whelks. FWIW

Looks really good!

ps: a blue or black background would really help the appearance of the tank.
