Has anyone had any luck with taking pictures under actinic lighting. Here is a shot of some green star polyps.....Its ok but there has got to be something I can do to get a better shot..........
It will depend on your cameras abilty to handle white balance. If it can handle custom white balance you can get better color by setting it to match the lighting. You can also try setting white balance in Photoshop or another graphics program.
You are under arrest. You have thge right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be held against you in the tang court of law. You have the right to an attorney.....
I insert a small purple tang with the yellow that i (use to) have, and immediately the purple tang atak the yellow, i couldnt do enything to save him from the little devil and the yellow tang was in a bad condition, so in one of his trip neer the green carpet hi got too close and the anemon
got him....
sad story
i got a new yellow tang now (i took the little devil to another tank)
I would assume that you feed this guy regularly and what goes in must come out. What kind of waste problems are associated with keeping anemones in a reef tank.?.

Many digital cameras, especially older ones, have sensitivity issues with actinic lighting. You can try knocking the exposure down a little, but generally theres little you can do about it, except perhaps using a blue blocking filter in front of the lens? Anyone have any "blublocker" sunglasses laying around?
FYI, Here's a website that get's into flourescent reef photography. Basically, you use some wavelength of blue light to make the corals flouresce a different color, then you use a filter to absorb the blue light. Pretty cool effects!
