Hey Bro,
First of all JbJ lights are crap. I know this because unfortunately, I coughed up the (I can't even say) amount of dollars to buy two sets of retro fit 95w lights (Each set has one remote ballast and two end caps one pushing the actinic and the other the white light). My end caps did the same exact thing as yours. After about 2 months of normal usage on a timer, the end caps vulcanized to the male end of the lights. Now somebody please explain to me how a company who makes custom lights can have such a rudimentary and critical design flaw. Well, unfortunately you’re out the cost of your light. You can try to cut it out, but I was unsuccessful. What you need to do is call JBJ and explain the problem and they will send you new "moisture resistant end caps" that they say have corrected this problem. Right. Once you receive your end caps open your ballast and unhook all your wires. Now connect your Black and green end cap wires to the blue housing wires and your white and red wires end cap wires to the red housing wires. Also if you fan is making a ton of noise (another basic design flaw) remove the screws and slowly peal off the sticker. Underneath you will find a tiny magnet. Put a few drops of motor oil on the magnet and it will quite the fan down for a few months. Also before you put your new lights in the new end caps put a thin layer of Vaseline around the inside of the end caps. Hope this helps!
Tell JBJ I said Hi and thanks for making expensive subpar lights
P.S if they aren't receptive get back to me; i've got a direct line.

The've lasted about 2 years, one of the dual ballasts fan does make noise that stops when you smack it.It has the waterproof endcaps now ,but they have dried out and crack in some places when you flex them.they have been alright and ill have to look at there longevity level versus endcap replacement cost.thanks for the nice reply.Rather than throw this one away, could i turn it into a single balest some how as a dual ballest it wont fire unless there is a bulb in each socket.
