Just wondering what everyone uses and whats the best method for cleaning the aquarium glass on the outside of the tank? I have one of those magnet cleaners and it really doesnt clean the outside that well.
Well you can use any kind of glass cleaner. Make sure you put the cleaner on the cloth and not the glass as to insure you do not get the spray in the water.
I use Coralife Cleaner/Polisher. This does an excellent job of cleaning plus it adds a coating over time that helps repel dust and water spots. After using this product for a while, I only need to clean with a dry rag most of the time.

I just use an old T-shirt as a rag. The cloth is soft enough that it buffs and salt spots off perfectly. If I encounter anything too stubborn, I just use a little fresh water on the corner. I would stay away from any type of commercial glass cleaners unless they are specifically deisgned for aquariums. Lot's of nasty chemicals.
Ok.Ok !.....I have done this when I just do not feel like doin anything........I just don't clean it at all. Alright! Do this..spread Peanut Butter(I use the cheapest I can find) on the glass and let your dog do the work. This is alot of fun to watch...especailly if you have a Porcupine Puffer that is about 6 inches of size. Real cool!
Python brand glass cleaner, it's just overpriced water w/ vinegar. Paper towels wet with warm tap water or r/o (doesn't leave as many streaks!) also do the trick. If you're industrious enough, you can put a wet paper towel under the outside portion of your algae magnet when you clean the glass. Saves at least 30 seconds!
