Cleaning? Fire Shrimp

I added two fire shrimp to my tank last night. I have read that they are also "cleaner" shrimp. However, when my fish (both of my tangs) started getting in line to get cleaned, the shrimp ignored them. The question I have is will they start cleaning the fish once they get a bit more acclimated?

I have 3 Fire shrimp and they do clean my tangs. I have a Blonde Naso and a Desjardinii that love them, but my Regal Angel doesn't care for them. The Regal Angel likes the Skunk cleaner shrimp. I would say give them time and they will get to work.

I have a fire shrimp and a common cleaner... the fire shrimp is so shy he never cleans anyone. The common cleaner does clean my anthias on a regular basis. He also always looks like he want to hop on my face when I look at him closely through the glass.

I haven't seen my two clean any fish but they always jump on my hands and go after my fingers when I put them in the tank

dgin, probably, my fire shrimp hid for a week, only coming out at night. It took almost a full month before he would be seen in the daytime, and my flame angel took advantage of him right away.

My cleaner did an awesome job for the first week I had him of cleaning my tangs, till he discovered I was feeding him !! He does ocationally jump on my arm and pick at the micro bubbles... then again I dont have tangs anymore.... ( Tang Police put me in check... :roll: )

I know the fire shrimp tend to hide unless there are more than one which is why I got 2. They had just finished eating when the fish started lining up so maybe they were full already and didn't feel like cleaning at the time. I'll see if they change their behaviour tonight before I feed them.

Coral banded shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) are big time cleaners in nature but almost never exhibit this behavior in an aquarium. Some times it works sometimes it don't. At least they are beautiful.
