Hi ,

I am setting up a 75 gallon tank which is 48" long.

I am trying to figure out what to use for lighting.

This tank is going to be softie and LPS dominated, with the exception of maybesome monti caps.

I have a very low budjet.

Please give me some suggestions/ advice on the reccommended lighting system,

Thanks

PS- If anyone has something like this for sale that you think I may be intrested in please PM me,
Thanks

don't hold me to this but i think i had best growth from PC's when it comes to softies and LPS :) and cheapest ligthing to go with, and also if you get something that sits on top like a coralife 48" lenght with the legs its also benifitial for heat reduction and the PC's don't really give off tha tmuch heat. So if ur jsut goin to be softie and LPS i think PC's are more then good enough but you could wait form advice from the better aquarist. I'm just stating on what i feel best form growth when i had PC's but it could also be alot of differnt things so...........................u

If you have a low budget, turn to DIY instead of a cheap fixture. You can get cheap retrofit kits and build yourself a nice T5 or MH setup. A little work now and you won't have to upgrade later when you decide to keep more demanding corals... it will happen... really.

Learn from my mistake. I wanted to go cheap and purchased PC lighting only to end up upgrading to MH 9 months later. Oh well :)
