why does my clown insist on yanking out the little bit of caulerpa i have left only to send it floating about the water column?

why does my clown insist that my little coral frags are for his 'amusement' as he picks them up and tosses them somewhere else?

why does my clown issist on wiggling his tail end at the sand, so much so that my live rock is covered with it?

is he retarded or something? :?

i was just wondering...

Sounds like you have one of those bigger clowns like a saddleback

Anyway I have seen them do this often they usually like a certain area in the tank and will protect it from any intruder... even coral and rock intruders

The sand thing leads me to believe it is underfed and stirring up the sand looking for more or if this is not the case then its just landscaping

Ooops Im sorry I forgot who I was talking to

So Mr. T is re-arranging your environment huh

Maroons can be landscapers allright, I think eventually he will not even let you put your hand in the tank without a fight... when he goes senile that is.

I would try and re-arrange the whole tank it will make him realize he is not the boss and will become a little more docile.

Just an idea

I have a pair of ocellaris that do this. They seem to be building a home and then cordon it off with the little corals. They really don't make a mess and seem to be quite happy in the process.

Re-arranging the tank won't help.... that's just how clowns get when they start becoming an adult. When a female clown becomes sexually mature, not only do they re-arrange alot but they start biting.... hehe.
