Well I've been wading through many threads on this issue and I thought I had settled on The Marine Center for a Derasa clam and Montipora digitata, but I've just read some very bad opinions on them. :( Any suggestions on where to get a good(and decently priced) clam and coral. Can't do clamsdirect as they don't have Derasas in right now(although I'm sure they're good). :) Any suggestions. I was thinking FFE, but their selection doesn't look what it used to be.

I like to cherry-pick.. I go to the following on a regular basis

www.flyingfishexpress.com
www.cquarium.com
www.coralcity.com
www.phishybuisiness.com
www.eastcoastclams.com
www.clamsdirect.com

If you are looking for frags that's another list. The above (for corals) are best for wild colonies.

Premium Aquatic also recently added a cherry-pick section. If anyone knows of others please post them and/or let me know! Thanks! :D

Thanks for all the recommendations, as it turns out, I was at a LFS the other day and saw a 3.5 inch Squamosa for sale. Looked really healthy so I got it, and for 30 bucks I think it was a good choice. He seems to be doing well, reacts very quickly to being shaded, and his incurrent siphon seems to be normal. He's been keeping it kind of open since I've put him in my tank, but not "gaping". I've been looking at other pictures of clams and it looks normal to me. Once again thanks for all the advice :D , we'll see how this one turns out.
