What does,,,,,,,mean??? Yeah, they've got some torn up fish but also a nice Red Sea tank in the main casino. The worst is the tank in the lobby of the Mirage--angels, triggers, and clowns that shouldn't be together, leopard sharks that require cooler tanks, and in general a way too crowded aquarium. These tanks are for tourists, not reefers.

Sorry, didn't mean to give the wrong impression. Just that I've never seen anyone do that before and I was curious. I am having a great day. My tone, if it seemed testie (testy??), was directed more at the poor state of the tanks in Vegas, not at you. Don't be too sensitive.

I have seen the tanks at Mandalay Bay, although before I started up my first reef tank. I was certainly not as conscious of the different interactions between all of the fish as I am now. My question is, how do they clean that tank in the lobby? I think that would be pretty tough.

I once saw a diving person cleaning with a brush the tank in the Mirage.
Even do the tank is waaay overcrouded and those leopardshark and white tips should be in a much bigger tank I think that tank is impressive, I wonder what is the thickness of the acrylic of that tank.
But sure there are too many fishes, too many yellow tangs, clown triggers etc.
Have you seen the tank in the caesars palace below the talking fountain?
I couldn´t see the tank in the main casino at the Mandalay.

Have you seen the tanks (if you can call them tanks) in the Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas?? wow 8O 8O that is a great place to have sharks and other fishes.

The tanks in Vegas are, by a large, overcrowded with unhealthy fish. The big aqauarium in Mandaly Bay even managed to have lion fish with hole in the head. Sad.

I was very disappointed to pay money to go to Mandalay Bays "Shark Reef" and not see a single live coral. When I went most of the fish were relatively healthy but there were sick and injured fish as well as one would expect when there are 100's of fish in some of those tanks.

I was really disappointed that they couldn't even put in one measly 1,000 gallon reef tank though since they claim to have over 1 million gallons of saltwater there.

FWIW, Nathan
