Hi folks, please give me a hand helping a customer. I got someone in NC who wants to buy some southdown but the shipping is going to kill him. Does anyone know where if anywhere it can be had down there? I'd rather see him get it for a more reasonable amount. I am almost positive it can be found all along the eastern seaboard.

Damn, that figures. I'll see if anyone else knows anything. I know it's a seasonal item up here so it might be as scarce as chicken teeth soon.

Thanks for the help though!

try purearagonite.com. It's made by the same manufacturer and a great product. I got it for about 25 bucks a bag with shipping, but that's to CA. The shipping cost more than the sand! NC would probably be a great deal cheaper since they're located in FL (I think). Home Depot sells SD but it's hard to find. If you search this site for southdown you'll find a wealth of info on product numbers, availability, etc.

JP, someone told me last week that the Cary, NC Hope Depot store had some. Tell them to give that a shot.

Someone may have had it transferred there, though.

I they don't have any, I bought some from a guy close to Shelby who is able to get it through a Mom and Pop hardware store close to him.

Funny, I just bought on Friday the 13th (how appropos) 10 bags in Cary, they had the better part of a pallet there. The bags are located in the garden section near the marble chips outside, not with the concrete and other building supplies inside.

Thanks folks for the help. I am sure this guy will appreciate it. Wombat, I have the sand and I can ship the guy this sand, but the entire idea was to find a place local to him for the sand so that he didn't get whacked on shipping charges from sending the sand from here.

If I wanted, I could have hit the guy with the $50 shipping it would have been to send him a bunch of bags.

Thanks again.
