Ok...so I've been told that I am way below the suggested lighting level for a Ritteri at 165 watts of power compact. I can't seem to get this guy to hang onto the dried krill I am trying to feed him. Its not sticking...and rather the ritteri is pulling away to the touch of the shrimp.

Any ideas?

Since you're low on the lighting requirements, then I'd say you should just return the anemone now, even if you don't get the same amount of credit that you paid for it. With weak lights, it's certain to die and then you're out the full amount you paid anyway.

Trade the anemone for a good book like Sharkky suggested in your other thread. Feeding the anemone is nearly pointless if you're not going to purchase better lights.

Sorry to be harsh, but you're basically asking for the wrong advice. This is an animal that can live to be over 100 years old in the wild, please give it the chance to live a long life in captivity by supplying it with the proper care. If you are unable to do so at the moment, perhaps a member in your area with a tank more suitable would purchase it from you.

That makes sense. I will try to return it to the LFS Friday or this weekend. Definitely not trying to kill off anything.

Thx
