What would you do first?

(1) Would you put sand in there aquarium, mix the water up then add it. OR
(2) put the mixed water in then add the sand? OR
(3) put the sand in then add water then mix it? OR
(4) Sell the aquarium buy some beer and put a TV in it's place???

For my new system I am going to add the sand, then add the water, then add the salt. I am adding the salt last incase there is some kind of leak in the system. I might add the sand last, but what a pain.
