Thanks, Terry, for a most comprehensive coverage of Angelfishes in the reef tank.

I noticed the rear end of a Chelmon in the first photo contained in your Editorial. I've noticed the fish before in other shots of your aquarium.

I've done a search for the species in the forums. The general consensus seems to be that Copperbands are fairly reef-safe as far as corals are concerned. Some say they pick on feather duster worms and worms in the sand bed, as well as small invertebrates (including, it seems, aipitasia).

As always, of course, there is the caveat that individual fish will do what they will!

My question of you is whether or not you agree with these comments, in particular that the Chelmon should usually be considered to be coral friendly.

Many thanks for your inspiring contributions to the hobby.

Thanks for your kind words. I have had only positive experience with Chelmons, recognizing of course that they will eat worms of any kind that they can consume. The biggest problem with Chelmons is getting them enough food. I feed flakes to the tank and then while the other fish are busy, using a turkey baster, squirt defrosted frozen plankton to the Chelmon, making sure it gets enough to eat. A healthy Chelmon will eliminate Aiptasia and sometimes Anemonia from your tank.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Terry. Having kept Chelmons over the years in fish-only tanks, they're one of my favourites.

Best regards.
