Which Sea-Swirl for 55G?

Not quite sure whether to get the 1/2" model or 3/4" model.....I'm planning on SPS/Clams if that helps any


55 G, RIO 1700 Return pump (yeah I know get a better pump)
2 MJ 1200 in tank

Doesn't really matter. Most people will tell you get the 3/4" because if you upgrade your pump it can handle the flow and in the meantime you can always use a ballvalve to restrict the flow a bit if you want to split the return between more than one return line. But I picked up a 1/2" cheaply and have two return lines and it works great. FWIW

Def. go with at least a 3/4. I had the 1/2 and I loved it so much I wished I had the 3/4 and a larger pump.
