Has anyone ever bought their (FF Express) "Pre-Cured Fiji Live Rock?" They're having a sale for 45 lb. at $99 for that, and $95 for Walt Smith, that sounds like a good deal, but almost too good. How is their rock?

Yea, it comes out around $150 depending on the shipping costs, but of course when the cheapest stuff around me is $7.50 a lb. and doesn't have even a tiny spec of coralline anywhere on it, that looks like a pretty good deal. But, I want to make sure that it is.....

What about that aquacultured Florida live rock?

It has way more life on it.

Shipping may be more, but it is far richer in sponges, etc. than any other rock I've ever seen. AND it's cultured.

Don't know if it's cheaper though...

Tampa Bay Saltwater is the company - may be worth it to check out.

That's what I will use on my next reef tank.

True about the life on the FL rock, but i've heard alot of people say that their FL rock came with mantis shrimps. in some cases, alot of mantis shrimps. another thing to keep in mind is that FL rock is very dense. its heavy for its size. something like Marshall island rock (i think) is very light for its size comparatively.
i've bought kupang rock from anchofish.com. it is nice rock but i noticed that they no longer sell it. they sell premium Fiji and regular. about FFE, i dont know if that $99 rock is "premium" or not. i would assume "premium" will be rock with more coraline. but doesnt most of the coraline die anyway before getting to your tank? it seems to me you only need a little bit in order to get started and then it grows while in your tank and it takes time.
