This appeared on my LR when I clipped back some macro-algae. I noticed it last week, but it must have been a hitchhiker when I got the LR.

Can you tell me what it is?

The polyps are larger than on many porites I have seen. Ernie

Hey Ernie. Honestly, it may be too small to tell. It could be anything, in actuality, from Montipora to Porites to Pocillopora. With the polyps retracted, if you can see the radial septa, then that eliminates Montipora.

Yes, I do believe it has small redial septa. I hope it lives and flourishes. Perhapse when it gets bigger i can get a more definitive ID.
