OK this is a idea that came from slojmn1 after reading my other post from about a week ago. I have just recently been turned on to Ricordia after visiting a LFS and seeing a really nice rock full of blue or purple ricordias since then it's become an obsession. I have one rock which has about 50 polyps of green ricordia on it. Not to say there are 50 individual polyps but a lot of them have several mouths. I want to see other peoples ricodias preferably other colors. IF by chance anyone would like to sell any PLEASE let me know. I have 3 pics of the same rock but different views. I don't know if all three will show.

Was the blue one in the webshot album as well? I would really like to see the blue's. I wonder if it's a naturally occuring color, the blue and purple.

No I didn't buy the Blue Ricordia rock it was a little too expensive to start off ricordia collecting. Did the pictures work in the first post??

Yeah, blue and purple are naturally occuring colors. Pretty much all the ricordea on ROCK you see in the trade right now comes from haiti, and the vast majority of it is green. When the rock was legal in florida, you got a much larger variety of colors, sometimes with many colors on one rock. I've seen green, blue, purple, orange, pink, yellow, and variations such as orange with blue rim and green mouth etc. Indo ricordea can come in some interesting colors as well, and grows larger and reproduces faster than florida. The occasional illegal bootlet florida rock probably shows up here and there, there is/was an AMDA wholesaler in florida that has been selling bootleg florida live rock for years.

These guys are still my favorites, if I was forced to pic only one!

This shot is out of my reef:

This shot is from the reef at the Looe Key Marine Sanctuary a few weeks ago:

I was just wondering if anyone who has either looked at this post or posted pictures of their Ricordia would be interested in selling a frag of their ricordia? I would be more than willing to trade but I don't have much that I could except the green ricordia in the pictures. But if your interested please contact me.

Thanks, Tim

I don't have a picture of mine on a web site, so I can't post it, but I can email a picture to anyone interested. I have had them for about ten years, originally from Florida I believe. I have a lot of it, so I can trade with anyone interested. They are orange and green and well adapted to tank life.
