Unless you are adding a male goby to another male of the same specie, fights between them are not likely.

However, you need to make sure the orange spotted goby is taking other foods other than just sifting sands. Most sandbed gets deprived of life for their efficient sifting overtime. It is imperative you start training your goby to take bits of clam meat, shrimp, fish...etc. You won't have this problem with yellow watchman, but its the sleeper goby you need to look after.

My orange spot eats brine, mysis, and also flake food, i havent ried to fed it any clam meat. he seems to be fine! I do see him siffting the sand once and a while, this is something that just started recently, i realy never seen this goby sift sand, but it does know!
By the way how can you train the goby to eat other meats, every time when i put my hand in the tank he seems to disapeer.

So if i have a male right now, and i add another male but not the same species, they will not fight?

Thanks

The rule of body shape and color pattern applies here. If the body shape is closely resembled (Both are sleeper goby), and coloration and patterns are similar, very likely the 2 males would not do well together. As long as you are placing in different species of male goby, you should be alright.

Well, based on my experience, the orange spot will try to show his dominance to the newcomer. He will puff up his mouth to make him look bigger/tougher (i guess). And there will be the occassional fin nipping by the orange spot. But it will not lead to death.
It doesn't matter what species of watchman goby u get, as long as the body shape is the same, then there will be territorial disputes.

However, if the yellow watchman goby is significantly bigger than the orange spot, then maybe there won't be any bullying, but I do not know for sure.

I was assuming that you have this fish.

If this is your fish, then the yellow watchman should be fine.
