I am so excited about my webcam working . If anyone knows of a beter FREE software other than windows Media encoder I am willing to try it. Just let me know and I will be the betatester

Aww, i dont know... Im using Windows Media Player, not that it should matter, but im using a mac...

I also am on a really fast cable modem, I shouldnt have any problems.

I get "Connection timed out"

It is encoded in windows media format. So I do not know what it would take for the MAc to do it. I am a computertech. but it has been a while since I worked on a mac so I am kinda rusty as far a software goes. but there should be somthing that you can use

Mark what setup the camera the software or the Tank ? .
The camera is a El cheapo that was given to me. Like to have never found drivers for XP pro. I had to buy a USB extention cord. Bout the longest I could find that is why no up front . I will try to figureout somthing soon thought . I love the interest shown in it. I have had several people on at a time just checking it out . So Any further questions please feel free to ASK

WOW, I just checked it out and saw your brain, maybe causetria(trumpet coral) the coral thats highest in your tank SPAWN. Your green chromises and sissor goby went nuts eating all the eggs.
What are the chances of that???

I never get to see that one. Surprised . I did not know they did that. I am trying to find a Software that will let me incorparate this into a webpage easily. and CHEAP. any suggestions let me know. I was trying one and accidently disconnected a few poeple but it did not work out. Enjoy everyone and come back and see my underwater family anytime..

Webcam Frame rate seems to pick up later in the evening around 10 or so guess it is net traffic. SO you will get a better picture

You should be able to get some software that writes out jpegs or gifs instead. But then it wouldn't be streaming video.

This guy I know has one on his Webpage.
I don't know a thing about webcam software but if this is kind of what you mean, I'm sure he'd love to help.

Freedom, wondering how you set up the cam over the internet. I'd like to do the same. I have a webpage, USB cam and a high speed connection already. This is what I've been looking to do for a while. Freaking wicked cool man. I'd love to be able to spy in on my tank when here at work!
