Well, here's my kids. The "biological father" still has a bunch in his mouth. They're hanging out in very exotic green toothpick urchin inside of a CPR aqua-fuge.

Thanks! Right now they're chowin' on live BBS, hopefully they'll switch quickly to frozen, I can't think of something i'd like not to do more than hatching brine shrimp

Haven't had any deaths thus far, i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Well, before i realized that papa was done releasing fry, he ate probably a dozen of them. No sweat though, still got 16 and they're all eating frozen BBS. Live and learn.

They spawned in my tank, this is the third time that they actually did the egg transfer thing, the first 2 times the male didn't carry to term.

I removed the dad w/ eggs @ 6:00 in the morining with nothing more than a flashlight and a net. Just shine in the eyes and scoop, i think not eating for 20+ days also helps in the ease of the capture, he just isn't as swift.

But, mine is empty.....

I'll have to get hubby to try for an early morning snare of the other two....he gets up at 5:00AM, yuck...

Thanks for the tip, I hope I get some babies and not have them all eaten..

I don't even know if mine are old enough, as the foursome just split off, a pair in the middle, and a loner on either end of the tank.

Any idea what age they start breeding ?

So in the wild these little guys would cruze around with an urchin for protection. Man, that is so cool. I want to be an urchin with my own little crew of Bangiis, i would be the coolest damn urchin on the reef.
