I have 2 cardinals in my 150 gal reef one which im not sure is a male or not has not eaten in two days but its jaws are very full and the bottom jay almost squared off.could this be that he is holding eggs.also I have some xenia that were spreading like wild fire without any help from me but now the oringinal colony is starting to waste away, the others are fine, is this normal?

To catch or not is really your choice. Y9u can either capture the male and put it in your other tank, or wait until the birthday (night) and try and catch the fry before they become fish food.

If you capture the male, it can cause the male to either eat the fry or prematurely eject them. If I were you, I'd wait until day 20 or so, as usually the fry are born anywhere from 20-25 days after they first start carrying.

Otherwise, start looking into your tank a couple of hours after all lights (tank and room) are out with a flashlight every night from about night 17 on. Most fry will be released on a single night, but males have been known to release a few the first night and all the rest the next night.
