hi.
There is a OK one on the Post Rd in Milford, and a few in Stamford area, but they are like a hour drive from Hartford...

Paragon isn't too far from Hartford.
Other than that, you have Coral Reef Imports on the Post Road in Milford, and then on the other end of the state there is Reef and Fin in Stamford. Not too many to choose from in this state.

Thanks, I'll try to get by and see them when I'm there next week. It will help keep me out of the bars after work, and I can compare prices from here and see how much difference there is.

Forget about House of Fins unless you want to take out a mortgage to buy a damsel. They are astronimical as far as pricing.

reef and fin and house of fins are both very close together on the western end of the state. Both are good stores.

I agree with Swreefer House of fins is way to expensive. You would think they fish comes with a life time warranty. Has nice section but forget about buying anything.

There's also this great mail order place (can't recall the name, (Im at work and don't have it handy) but they have a 5 for $55 dollar coral deal. I got 10 for $110 and only had to pay for 1 box overnite shipping. Nice. Basically, when all was said and done the price was about $15 a coral. Not a bad deal, nice leathers, colts and mushrooms and more. They do sell fish too and have a retail store in CT. Since I moved to NH, I may drive down some weekend to check it out.

In the immediate area, there is Exotic super pet, it's on Silver Lane in East Hartford, lots to look at, but I usually won't buy anything there. There is a good store in Windham, called Exotic Aquatics, it's about a 40 min drive from Hartford. They have good quality stuff, but they just moved into a new building, last time I was there, their tanks were kind of empty, but it's been a few weeks. I buy 90% of my stuff there. e-mail me if you want directions to either place. Both places are really easy to find.

Thumbs up on Paragon Aquatics. Great sps and lps selection at fair prices. Also consider Aquarium Conservation in Cromwell, CT. Lots of lps and fish but little or no sps.
