mating clowns

i have 2 maroon clowns living in the same tank for about 3 months. just recently they were looking more and more like a mating pair. my first thughts were to seperate them, but now i want to see if i can mate them successfuly. does anyone know of a good website to help me learn more about what i need to do? any information would be helpful. thanx

If you want to learn about mating Clownfish, or anything about ClownFish you need to get a copy of CLOWNFISHES by Joyce D. Wilkerson. Its a great book for anyone who has Clownfish.

I second that. Breeding clownfish is "do-able" but it requires patience, knowledge, and diligence. You can do it!

Check out "Marine Fish and Reef" Magazines most recent issue 2002 annual. It has a lot of Ideas about breeding clowns and angels. Although the book that CT Clownfish is talking about is the definative resource. I considered it but heck just trying to feed them the correct size food for the first 5 days seems like it could turn into a nightmare.
