For some reason I have an urge to drink some green water. I am growing the green water for rotifes. Do any of you drink green water? I was thinking; if i grow it in salt free water, it might be healthy. Do you know where I can find some nutrional information on green water. It might be a way to save me money on food, and it looks so apitizing.

I am not joking.

I have drank brine shrimp, but I could not taste them.

Any info on drinking green water would be apreciated.

Put one ounce of Vodka, add crushed ice.
Season with a dash of Worchester Sauce or Lea & Perrins) to taste.
Add a teaspoon of clam juice or a 4 ounces of Clamato Juice and a slice of lime.
Rim the glass with a spicy salt.

Its good for varicose veins,
and growths on the brain, and
your good for a %#^& every night.

I'd go for the tablets also but in the culinary-reefkeeping world i draw the line at drinking RO water.

You should eat baby brine, they're much more nutritional! BTW, thats the most revolting thing i have ever heard as i think back to our old brine shrimp tank with the 6" of stinky foam on top...

I have heard of some chlorella based supplements out there, why not take those tablets instead. I think they are safer than green water.

Why dont you try Japanese Green Tea instead. Chinese green tea is actually brown so stick with the japanese variety.

Personally I prefer the brown liquid with the frothy top.....preferably cold. You can't beat beer.

Mmmmmm green water, not as nice a skimmate though. I love it when it gets so thick i have to pick bits out of my teeth. I know, why dont you make skimmate and green water soup, topped off with a sprinkeling of brine shrimp. And to wash it all down a nice Tuna fish milkshake. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

All I can say is that I hope your mommy or wife or whatever locks up all the household chemicals...

Something tells me you know what earwax, boogers, and God knows what other bodily secretions, taste like...

On the upside, curiosity like yours is what led mankind to breakthrough discoveries like:
"If you eat THAT mushroom, you'll be dead by lunchtime" and...
"Yellow snow isn't lemon-flavored"

If any of you have been in a health food store you will see all the supplements based on chlorella, spirulina and other kinds of algae. Why not drink what you grow at home? Chlorella grows in fresh as well as salt water; the only problem I can see is finding a suitable fertilizer that you would want to drink also...

While I'm sure that brine-shrimp and green water does have SOME nutritional value, so does cat brains, horsecrap, and human umbilical cords...

The point here is WHY, WHY, WHY!!!!!?????
