I have a Blue Tang that impersonates clownfish! As I was watching my newly aquired hippo last night it started swimming through my devils hand leather. It didnt surprise me at first until it found a nice comfy spot and laid down on its side. It would run out grab a bite of some algea, and run right back to its "host" devils hand.

I dont have any experience with hippos, but is this normal?

The hippo I had was the one fish I bought too soon before my tank was ready. Alas. However, he was funny, and loved to hang out with the perculas. I didn't have the anemone yet.

Completely normal. They fold themselves into the smallest nooks and crannies.
Remember to feed her garlic extract(not juice) soaked foods as an ich preventative as they are ich prone.
Unlike other tangs which are algae eaters, their diet requires meaty foods so make sure you feed her a varied diet
